For Immediate Release
Irwindale, CA – Irwindale Speedway joins the growing number of tracks across the country that have approved the 2019 Five Star Late Model Body for competition.
Irwindale Speedway management and officials have reviewed the available information and feel confident that the new body and current body will perform equally on track. Irwindale Speedway promoter Tim Huddleston has stated that he is happy to see a change in the body design. “The current body has been out for about 14 years, I think the racers and fans are ready for a change. We have seen these bodies in competition in our region at Tucson Raceway, Madera Speedway and All American Speedway.” When the current body was introduced in 2004, it brought some much-needed regulation to the sport. The updated body styles bring an exciting modern look to the Late Model class, while remaining equally competitive with the existing bodies. The new design also incorporates a flame-retardant resin in the roof for safety. The 2019 Five Star Late Model Body will bring an exciting new look to the NASCAR Late Model division at Irwindale Speedway!
