Irwindale Speedway to Resume Racing on Saturday, June 13th with Competitor Only Event
Irwindale, CA – Irwindale Speedway is pleased to announce that short track racing will return to Southern California with the 2020 NASCAR Whelen All-American Series season opener on Saturday, June 13th.
In accordance with federal, state and local guidelines, this event will be closed to the public. Fans will, however, have the opportunity to watch a live broadcast of the events by logging on to irwindalespeedway.tv.
A full slate of racing is scheduled with LKQ Pick Your Part Late Models (Twins), Lucas Oil Spec Racers, INEX Legend Cars (Twins), Super Stocks and Tucker Tire Enduros. Pit Gates will open at 9:00am, with main events scheduled to start at 4:00pm.
Competitors are invited to participate in an open test on Friday, June 12th from 2:00pm to 7:00pm. Open testing prices will remain unchanged in 2020; $200 for 1/2 mile competitors and $100 for the 1/3 mile. Fuel and Tires will be available for purchase on Friday as well.

There will be no spectator admittance as this will be a CLOSED event. Competitor and crew admittance only.
The Following Policies MUST BE ADHERED TO:
-Please do not post on social media to avoid attracting crowds of spectators
-Maintain federal, state and local social distancing guidelines (6 feet apart at all times, Etc.)
-All competitors must park in alternate pit stalls, leaving a minimum (1) pit stall empty space on each side
-Masks will be required to be worn by everyone who leaves their personal pit stall for any reason
-No groups of more than (4) people congregating in one area
