Competition Reminders: Opening Night 3/14/20

Competition Reminders: Opening Night 3/14/20

ATTENTION ALL STOCK CAR COMPETITORS

With only a few days remaining until the 2020 season opener, here is a brief outline from Irwindale Speedway management regarding this week’s events.

Thursday, March 12th and Friday, March 13th, we will have Hoosier Tires and Sunoco Race Fuel available beginning at 4pm. Practice and race tires can be purchased and mounted, but race tires will not be released to competitors until race day. All competitors are also invited to take part in open practice from 4pm until 9pm. Each day will be $100 per car for 1/3 mile and $200 per car for the 1/2 mile.

As previously announced at 2020 competitor meetings, Irwindale Speedway competitors will see the return of the Racer Bucks Program in 2020. As with last year, the program will credit racers for their efforts in promoting the speedway and bringing fans to events. The racer’s credits, or “bucks” can then be used towards practice, transponder rental and pit passes. Competitors may continue to distribute any left over 2019 “bucks” as they will still be redeemable at ticket office.

Please contact office this week, or see credentials window this weekend, to register car numbers or reserve pit spaces for 2020. Please remember car numbers must be registered no later than Saturday morning if you plan on competing that day.

Finally, we are aware of the potential for inclement weather this week and will continue to monitor the situation closely. Stay tuned to email, social media and website for possible updates as the week progresses.
