IRWINDALE SPEEDWAY ANNOUNCES UPDATE TO TUCKER TIRE ENDURO 2019 SCHEDULE
(Friday, June 7, 2019) Irwindale, CA – Irwindale Speedway is pleased to announce the addition of Tucker Tire Enduros to the NASCAR Night scheduled for September 14th.
The Enduro division has become an important piece in the Irwindale Speedway racing ladder, giving racers of all experience levels a budget friendly opportunity to race.
“When I look at our Enduro/Enduro Sport division, the most important thing, to me, is to see our racers receive the recognition they are due for how hard they work to support this race track.” said Irwindale Speedway President Tim Huddleston. “For this reason, we have made the decision to add a race on Sept. 14th in an effort to give Tucker Tire Enduro drivers one more opportunity to gather points towards the NASCAR National Points Championship.”
Additionally, Irwindale Speedway will be instituting a “Drop” policy for the 2019 Tucker Tire Enduro/Enduro Sport Track Championship. “We know that the late addition of a points race could possibly cause some stress for teams competing for track points alone, as they may already have prior commitments for September 14th,” Huddleston explained. “In response to this, we are introducing a one race “Drop” for all competitors in the Tucker Tire Enduro/Enduro Sport divisions.”
The policy is as follows:
-The lowest point scoring race for each competitor will be dropped from their season total
-The “Drop” will only apply to Irwindale Speedway Track Championship points, and will not affect NASCAR’s National Points Championship
