Irwindale Speedway Becomes “Santa’s Speedway” for special Christmas Lights Drive-Thru Experience

Designed to make Christmas this year a little bit brighter, the limited engagement, all ages, immersive experience will transport families into a Christmas Wonderland as they drive along an actual NASCAR track and come face to face with jaw dropping lighting displays including the World’s Largest Free Standing Light Tree from Mobile Illumination, the company responsible for the Grove, Universal Studios and Warner Brothers’ Christmas Extravaganzas

IRWINDALE, CA, NOVEMBER 6, 2020 – Irwindale Speedway & Event Center, the premier motorsports facility of its kind in Southern California, in collaboration with Mobile Illumination, the company known for its spectacular Christmas tree lighting extravaganzas at The Grove, Warner Brothers and Universal Studios, today announced that it will open Santa’s Speedway Christmas Lights Drive-Thru, its
all new, holiday themed immersive experience for families on November 25, 2020. Advanced tickets for the limited engagement all ages experience are available starting today on www.santasspeedway.com.

Open to the public from November 25, 2020 – January 10, 2021, this 30-45 minute safe yet riveting experience is designed to transport families of all ages into the magical world of Christmas as they witness first-hand a series of jaw dropping Christmas scenes and holiday themed vignettes. As families enter Santa’s Speedway between a pathway of California’s largest color changing display of palm trees, they will experience the exhilaration of driving on an actual NASCAR racetrack as they come across Santa’s Village with elves hard at work, a land filled with Christmas sweets including 20ft tall illuminated lollipops, Rudolph’s Enchanted garage filled with Racecar Reindeers, a 100 ft long lit Christmas bow and light display, plus a scene worthy of grabbing Santa’s attention – the world’s largest free standing light tree, measuring 110ft and made up of over 100,000 LED lights.

We have designed a several mile long experience that will offer guests the thrill of driving on an actual race track combined with the joys of Christmas lighting, decorations, and memories that will last a lifetime.”

Families in search of something additionally sweet will be able to enjoy themed concessions including Christmas cocoa and pre-packaged holiday treats, an interactive scavenger hunt, as well as the opportunity to mail a letter to Santa and get an actual email back. Santa’s Speedway Christmas Lights Drive Thru Spectacular at the Irwindale Speedway & Event Center will run nightly starting at 5 pm and will cost $75 per car. During the experience, all passengers must be in a seat with a seat belt, and must wear masks if outside of the car during restroom and concession use.
