This year’s 2022 Pick Your Part Pro Late Model Champion Linny White, PYP PLM Championship Runner-Up Parker Malone, PYP PLM competitors Rob and Cody Kiemele and PYP PLM competitor Mike Weimann, have all lost their race cars in a devastating race shop fire.
The fire, which started Thursday around 5:00am, consumed everything from race cars, pit equipment and engines, to around 15 years’ worth of tools and racing memories.
The shop was the center of Linny White’s full time racing business, as well as the home of the Kiemele’s racing operation. Malone and Weimann’s cars were at the shop at the time of the fire.
The Irwindale Speedway family is devastated by this news, and we ask that the racing community reach out and support our friends in any way possible during this trying time.
