The limited engagement, Instagrammable, all ages experience will once again transport families throughout the Southland into a Christmas wonderland as they drive along an actual NASCAR track and come face to face with jaw dropping lighting displays including a record setting 110 ft tall Free Standing Light Tree from Mobile Illumination, the company responsible for some of the most notable malls, movie studios and theme park Christmas Extravaganzas in Los Angeles

IRWINDALE, CA, NOVEMBER 3, 2021 – Irwindale Speedway & Event Center, the premier motorsports
facility of its kind in Southern California, in collaboration with Mobile Illumination, the company
known for its spectacular Christmas tree lighting extravaganzas at movie theatres, malls and theme
parks, today announced that it will publicly debut its second annual Santa’s Speedway Christmas
Lights Drive-Thru, a limited engagement immersive experience for families on November 26, 2021.

Open to the public from November 26, 2021 – January 2, 2022, this 30-45 minute safe yet riveting experience is designed to transport families of all ages into the magical world of Christmas as they witness first-hand a series of jaw dropping Christmas scenes and holiday themed vignettes. As families enter Santa’s Speedway between a pathway of California’s largest color changing display of palm trees, they will experience the exhilaration of driving on an actual NASCAR racetrack as they come across Santa’s Village with at elves hard at work, a land filled with Christmas sweets including 20ft tall illuminated lollipops, the world’s first 30ft tall drive-thru ornaments (so you can really experience what it is like to be elf sized), Rudolph’s Enchanted Stables filled with illuminated race cars, Christmas Trees and Snowmen made from tires, a 200 ft long illuminated red Christmas bow and light display, plus a scene worthy of grabbing Santa’s attention – a record setting free-standing light tree, measuring 110ft and made up of over 100,000 programmable LED lights. The experience will conclude with a New Year’s vignette featuring a 9 ft LED bottle of champagne that will burst into celebration, creating a cascade of bubbles reading, “Happy New Year” overhead.
Families in search of something additionally sweet will be able to enjoy themed concessions including Christmas cocoa and pre-packaged holiday treats, as well as the opportunity to come up close and personal with Santa himself as he waves and talks to them from the cockpit of his 40 ft locomotive. Santa’s Speedway Christmas Lights Drive Thru Spectacular at the Irwindale Speedway & Event Center will run nightly starting at 5:30 pm and will cost $59 per car for non peak days and $75 for peak weekend nights (Friday-Sunday), as well as 12/20-12/23. During the experience, all passengers must be in a seat with a seat belt, and must wear masks if outside of the car during restroom and concession use.
