FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
(September 11, 2020) Irwindale, CA – Due to the ongoing “Bobcat Fire” in our local mountains, and the resulting adverse outdoor conditions, Irwindale Speedway has made the decision to postpone on-track activities for this weekend’s “First Responders Night” NASCAR event.
I.S. Management was forced to make this decision for the safety of our competitors and staff, as air quality and heavy ash fall presents a considerable health risk.
The previously scheduled “Outlaw Night” on September 19th, will now be rebranded as “First Responders Night” and will feature a division lineup consisting of ALL previously scheduled divisions from September 12th and 19th.
The September 19th “First Responders Night” will take place under the lights and feature the following divisions :
-Pick Your Part Late Models (Added from Sept. 12th)
-YouRaceLA Spec Late Models (Added from Sept. 12th)
-Tucker Tire Enduro (Added from Sept. 12th)
-INEX Legends (Added from Sept. 12th)
-Super Stocks (Added from Sept. 12th)
-Lucas Oil Race Trucks (Added from Sept. 12th)
-Super Late Models (Previously Scheduled)
-Spears Mfg. Modifieds (Previously Scheduled)
-Sigma Eng. Pro Late Models (Previously Scheduled)
-Southwest Tour Trucks (Previously Scheduled)
A revised competition schedule will be released later today with gate times and on-track order of events.
